Dr Jill Yielder MEd, PhD, IAAP, ANZSJA
Jill has worked for many years in tertiary institutions as a curriculum developer, teacher and researcher and is currently working as a Senior Lecturer for the University of Auckland in the medical programme co-ordinating a longitudinal domain of learning called the 'Personal & Professional Skills' (PPS) domain. This involves teaching and assessing aspects such as communication skills, health and wellbeing, ethics and professionalism to medical students. Jill also works clinically as a Jungian analyst and psychotherapist. Previously she worked for Lifeline, as a counsellor and trainer.
Dr Fiona Moir MBChB, MRCGP, PhD
Fiona has a background in General Practice. She is a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health and Communication Skills at the University of Auckland where she holds a number of part time positions. These include holding a pastoral care role as Director of Medical Student Affairs, chairing the Pastoral Care Committee, and running the ‘SAFE-DRS Health & Wellbeing’ curriculum. Her PhD was about empowering medical students to improve their mental health and involved running peer intervention trials. She has been involved in a number of mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
Dr Rob Shieff MBChB, FRANZCP
Rob is a psychiatrist working in private practice. He has a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. He has considerable experience in the use of medication and in the provision of short term, skills-based forms of psychotherapy including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness-based applications. He also has considerable experience as a teacher and presenter and is a sought-after conference speaker.
Dr Andrew Codling BSc(Hons), MSc, MEdAdmin, EdD
Andrew has a long history of teaching, research and senior management in tertiary education in New Zealand in both polytechnic and university sectors.
